Betsy Botsford

Betsy Botsford is a fine art landscape photographer based in Western Colorado whose work explores solitude, resilience, and the quiet beauty of wild places. Her connection to the outdoors began while working for the U.S. Forest Service, including time spent on a fire crew and as a fire lookout, experiences that helped shape her deep appreciation for the mountains, deserts, and open spaces of the American West. Photography became a source of healing following profound personal loss, shaping her work around the idea of being alone, but not lonely. Her photographs have been featured in Landscape Photography Magazine and other publications, and she received the People’s Choice Award in the reFocus Black & White Photography Awards in both 2022 and 2026. Through her fine art photography business, Point of Light Photo, Betsy exhibits and sells her work while donating a portion of her profits to organizations supporting people experiencing homelessness and animal rescue.
